LEAH'S STORY
As an Indigenous Female Professional Athlete; Leah has successfully achieved the highest levels of the game, despite all odds. Her experience doesn't just stop there. Leah started playing at 8 yrs old, with her twin sister Laurie. They played for high performance teams from Nova Scotia to Ontario and travelled all across Canada, the US, and internationally to play the game. Leah's experience with the game has now reached master class. She not only played the highest levels, but also studied the game in all positions for well over two decades as a minor official, is a certified referee. Leah was a university level assistant coach for nearly a decade, and a volunteer community coach for almost 20 years. To compliment her basketball IQ she has spent over 15 years as a personal trainer, training clients from beginner to high-performance. Leah is a Sociology Graduate from Dalhousie University. Leah has used her degree to compliment her love of movement, wellness and longevity training to appeal to everyone! Leah has helped athletes, complex weight-loss clients, elderly folks, pre and post natal clients and has experience with language barriers.
